Sony SRS-XB23 Bluetooth Speaker - Excellent!!


I did not want to spend money on non-essential item BUT when I saw this speaker.... it is Sony, it is bluetooth, it is bigger than the other 2 I have, it can be used for conference call.... 

BOUGHT IT 

Sound is excellent (I am not a pro but I do have some preference and it meets my preference). Good bass. 

Paired it with my old Sony smartphone listening to radio (Classic FM) - smooth and nice...

Paired it with my iPhone XS Max listening to my songs, reduced bass on the app - excellent sound with clear distinction of instrument's sounds. 

To me, it is excellent. Now is not expensive. It is worth to buy and use it.

Use Asus DSL-ax82u with Sky broadband (UK)

In the UK, there are a lot of old houses, old buildings. It is extremely frustrating not getting a steady and reliable internet connection. (I should not compare to the quality of internet in Hong Kong... ) Anyway, I was trying to setup sky broadband in an old house.... old cables... hence, only can rely on telephone line.  Was so happy getting start with the sky hub unfortunately, signal was so poor on second floor.... complaints  After research, found a lot of posting on forums and youtube about how good it is replacing the sky hub with Asus modem router DSL ax-82u. Text fuzzy - Mac Mini connected with Hitachi SmartTV 24HE2000U

I finally find a smart TV at a reasonable price for my mac mini. It is new with 2 HDMI ports. Great. It is a famous household Japanese brand for many years- Hitachi. Their air conditioners are probably the best and most durable. So I give it a try .... However, when reading text heavy content or typing documents.... text fuzzy and eyes will get very tired very quickly.  I cannot stand the brightness of the TV monitor too...  Googled a lot of "solutions" actually not useful...  As the Hitachi 24HE2000U highest resolutions only 720p... so basically cannot get it as comfy to read as in a macbook ....  My solutions: Used a mini display port to HDMI cable to connect System preference - Display - Scaled 1600 x 900 Wear my glasses  Zoom view to 110% to 125% And also, I did not see Underscan under mac Display (which was showing up when connected to another big JVC TV), in order to get the top menu showing up and the dock at the bottom showing nicely.
